THE AWARD
For the second year, he won the award of the " Ideal Employee", and for
the first time, the new Manager of his department was there. He stood
up clapping for him while he was receiving the award from the company's
Director. While he was orating the management speech, he indicated
that he was very happy, because the award had been given to one of his
department's employee. He also announced that he would ask for a
perquisite for him in another book, and promised him while the people in
the reception were listening that he would upgrade him if he won the
award the following year.
In the next morning, he walked to the meeting room with the others. The
manager pointed at him to sit beside him, but he thanked the manager
very much and preferred to sit with his fellows. The manager returned
his wish while he was walking to greet him. The employee sat down
feeling frightened as he was looking at his department's manager and the
others in attendance. Suddenly, the manager hummed, so everybody
showed an attention. First he returned his greetings to the ideal
employee and wished that everybody should follow him. But he finished
the meeting with a joke, which caused tears flowing the cheeks from
laughing. Other bodies were flickering as it was shocked by a sudden
earthquake, except the ideal employee, who stayed sullen on his place.
On the third day, he went to his Manager's room with a new project
idea. He said after greeting: " The computer has got a magic effect. Our
job will be in order and it will be also progressed ".
He interrupted his idea: " Leave the file for studying".
In the next days, sometimes he was inquiring about his new project with
no answer. But one time, while he was asking, his manager asked him to
check with his secretary !!!!!
After three months, he was unable to see the Manager without
permission, then the manager instructed him to give all his ideas and
correspondences to his secretary. This order astonished him. He asked
the secretary many times to see the manager, but the manager refused.
Even though he insisted in meeting him. The days were passing and his
will was going stronger. But nothing stopped him except for a volcano
upthrow, which sent it's lava toward his face and a paper was written,
saying:"THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICES" !!
